Insurance Solutions
Axis Max Life Insurance (formerly Max Life Insurance) is a major Indian private life insurer, borne out of a joint venture between Max Financial Services (80%) and Axis Bank (20%). It rebranded to its current name on December 13, 2024 and updated its digital presence accordingly
Senior Citizen Mediclaim Policy
This is a standalone health insurance plan for those aged 61 and above—no entry-age cap beyond that. Key features include:
Comprehensive hospitalisation coverage: Pre‑ and post‑hospitalisation, ambulance, in‑patient treatment across a wide hospital network.
No pre-medical screening required, making it quick and accessible.
Lifetime renewability, with tax deductions under Section 80D up to ₹75,000 annually.
Co‑payment required: 20% per claim for seniors and pre‑existing condition waiting period of 2–4 years.
No‑claim bonus boosts for staying claim-free
This is ideal for covering routine elderly healthcare needs and major hospital expenses.
Senior Citizen Term Plan
Axis Max Life also offers term insurance for seniors, but note:
- Purpose: Pure life coverage, with no maturity or investment benefit.
Age limits: Entry up to 65 or 67; maturity coverage up to about 85
Premiums higher due to age and health risks; medical exams usually required
Optional riders (e.g., critical illness, disability) may be available—but can be declined based on health history.
This plan protects dependents financially in case of the policyholder’s death but doesn’t assist with day-to-day medical costs or elder care support.
